Jean-François WEBER, born in 1974, is an Intellectual property Attorney and a European Patent Attorney. He is President of the firm Cabinet Didier Martin

Jean-François WEBER joined Cabinet Didier Martin as a qualified patent engineer in 2001 after working as an R&D engineer for a major manufacturer in the automobile industry.

He has a master’s in mechanical engineering granted by the Université Lyon 1 and is an engineering graduate of the Ecole Centrale de Lyon (master’s degree). He also has a degree in patent law granted by the CEIPI (Centre d’Etudes Internationales de la Propriété Intellectuelle of the Strasbourg law faculty).

His professional activities cover a variety of technical fields (electrical household appliances, biomedical, materials, textile, electricity, cosmetics, agri-food business, computing, petroleum engineering…) and covers all fields of patent law, in particular concerning obtaining rights (drafting patent applications and carrying through procedures up to grant), defending rights (opposition, infringement litigation, infringement raids), contracts, freedom-of-use searching, and questions relating to employee inventions.

Jean-François WEBER also works as a university teacher for master’s degree courses.

He is a member of CNCPI, EPI, AIPPI and GRAPI.

His working languages are French, English, and German.
