Guillaume GRAND
Guillaume GRAND, born in 1977, is a French Patent Attorney, European Patent Attorney, and Representative before the Unified Patent Court (European Patent Litigator).
An engineering graduate of the École Centrale de Lyon, he also holds a University Diploma in Patent Law from the Centre d’Études Internationales de la Propriété Intellectuelle (CEIPI – University of Strasbourg).
After graduating from the École Centrale de Lyon in 2000, he joined a leading firm of intellectual property attorneys and lawyers, where he obtained his professional qualifications and gained extensive, high-level experience before becoming a partner in 2013. Following a period within the Industrial Property Department of the Michelin Group, he joined Cabinet Didier Martin in 2025.
Guillaume’s expertise spans all areas of patent law, including the development of protection strategies, patentability assessments, patent drafting, examination and opposition proceedings before national and international patent offices (INPI, EPO, and others), freedom-to-operate analyses, infringement evaluations, pre-litigation negotiations, and patent litigation.
His technical background covers a broad range of mechanical engineering fields, notably including medical, surgical, and wellness devices; transport and lifting equipment; sanitary systems; physico-chemical treatment installations; food-processing machinery; consumer products; and tire design and architecture.
A member of the CNCPI, EPI, AIPPI, and GRAPI, Guillaume also contributes to professional training as a member of the examination board for the French Patent Qualification Examination.
He works fluently in both French and English.
